So far, only 1 out of ten of these seeds has germinated, but I’m not throwing the towel in just yet. I’ve had better luck with the other Kingston Rest Dark flower version of Byblis Liniflora (see my review elsewhere of these) seeds. The plant that did emerge is robust and growing quickly. My soil mix for these is 2 parts horticultural sand, 1 part sphagnum peat, and 1 part perlite. Please give these seeds plenty of light and humidity and time to germinate.
So far, 5 of the ten seeds have germinated, and I’ve already transferred one of these to its forever pot. My soil recipe is two parts horticultural sand, one part sphagnum peat moss, and one part perlite. I started these in a seedling tray with a clear lid to provide high humidity during germination. These plants are very tiny when they first pop out, and their coloration is almost icy looking with wet droplets on stick-like leaves almost right away. They grow quickly. I would purchase these again!
After 30 days the ping is growing vigorously with a good grow light and soil mix. It may even be starting to flower.
I had trouble with my previous pings most likely because of a poor sunlight and possibly also because of a poor soil mix. The new pings are growing very vigorously with the new Barilla sunlight and the soil mix provided by California Carnivores. I think one is even producing a flower.
